Dell the makers of the Alienware computer systems has today announced at the Steam Dev Days conference that they will be launching their highly anticipated Alienware Steam Machine running Valve’s Steam OS in September of this year.
Very little is still known about the Alienware Steam Machine, but what we do know it that it will be equipped with an Intel processor and NVIDIA graphics card. More detailed specifications will come later Dell has explained.
The Alienware Steam Machine will be sold in the U.S. and other countries around the world later in 2014 and is expected to now have a firm release date to be sometime during September 2014.
“Our goal for the Alienware Steam Machine is to meet or exceed the performance and gaming experience of next generation consoles. Alienware has a long history of engineering products that exceed the demanding standards of PC gamers everywhere.
Our focus is to design the best Steam Machine and provide the best gaming experience for our customers. We have meticulously tested different combinations of hardware in order to meet the expectations of our customers. NVIDIA’s technology aligns best with our Steam Machine criteria at this time.”
