Roundup of the best iPhone and iPad cases

CES 2014: Roundup of the best iPhone and iPad cases
This year's Consumer Electronics Show included some memorable moments and booths, from Michael Bay's on-stage breakdown to LG's massive Ultra HDTV installation. But what is a trade show without a healthy helping of accessories?

Specifically, we're talking about cases for iPhones, iPads, and Android devices. Whether it's a faux-fur-clad or bedazzled fashion statement, or a fully functional hardware keyboard to turn your tablet into a productivity machine, there was a case for every taste at the Las Vegas Convention Centre this year.
Last year witnessed the emergence of 3D printed cases and custom designs, and that trend continues this year. And as screens get bigger and phones get slimmer and more delicate, the need for a protective case is undeniable. That's evident in this year's offerings, with a wide array of cases that can take a real beating.
As usual, Apple products rule the day at CES, even if the company itself isn't actually there – the vast majority of cases are designed for iPhones and iPads.
The iPhone variety includes colourful designs and fashion-forward touches that would make any phone a unique personal statement. However, there were also some very odd ideas – such as an iPhone case which adds a stun gun to your handset.
On the iPad front, keyboard cases and those designed to protect the thinner and lighter iPad Air were well represented.
Alas, we couldn't include every cool case in this article. After trawling the show floor this week, we've picked out the most interesting and useful designs which we now present for your delectation.

Flir One

The Flir One turns your iPhone 5 or iPhone 5S into a personal thermal imaging device. It could be helpful for contractors looking for temperature dips in buildings, hunters searching for prey, or even fire-fighters looking for signs of life. On a less serious note, Flir said the case could also have uses for game developers.

Typo
