Shaving your legs with a disposable razor gives you a close shave, but it can also lead to cuts and nicks that look less than appealing. When summer is approaching or you’re getting ready for a big date, try using an
electric shaver instead. While it doesn’t offer as close of a shave – you might need to shave your legs more frequently than if using a bladed razor – you’re less likely to end up with cuts, razor burn or bumps on your skin.Step 1
Wash the skin with a rag and warm water. Dry your legs well with a towel. Your skin must be completely dry before using an electric shaver.
Step 2
Turn on the shaver. Start at the ankle and work your way up toward your thigh.
Step 3
Move the head of the shaver slowly in small, circular motions over your leg in the opposite direction of the hair growth. Apply gentle pressure and avoid going over the same spot more than a couple of times.
Step 4
Continue moving the razor over your skin, working your way up to your thigh, until all of the unwanted hair is gone. When you come to your knee, straighten out your leg and pull the skin about the knee taut before going over it with the razor.
Step 5
Rub your hand up and down your leg to feel for any stubble or spots you missed. Once your leg is smooth, move on and repeat this process for the other leg.
Step 6
Wash your legs with a rag and warm water. Dry with a towel and apply moisturizer to your skin.
