My List of Must-Have Fitness Gear and Gadgets

must have fitness gear 2014
Last year when I started to live a healthier lifestyle and workout at home, I had no gear or equipment besides my treadmill. I was unsure how I was going to get trim with no equipment.
Through the months I bought some gym equipment such as my adjustable dumbbell set, neoprene dumbbells and a small budget-friendly home gym as well as workout DVDs, Wii games and some fitness gear. My goals were reached in the middle of the year. Unfortunately, in August, I began having major knee pain, so took some time off to help heal my knee as my doctor suggested. The pain subsided so I began to exercise again, with limitations. With some natural remedies and supplements, I’ve been able to keep the pain at bay.
It’s 2014 which means I’m ready for some new fitness gear and gadgets! I’ve been browsing around a lot lately and have a must-have list of fitness gear I want.
Just because my knee starts to act up doesn’t mean I’ll quit exercising, that will never happen, because I made a vow to change my life forever and that is exactly what I’m doing.
Here is MY list of must-have fitness gear in 2014.
fitbit force
Fitbit Force: I really want this to track my sleeping habits. I feel I sleep pretty sound but I would like to see first hand. The Fitbit Force connects to your smartphone so you can see in real time all your activities plus you can track all your fitness activity as well as food.
under armour Women’s Charged ultimate 28 legging
Under Armour Charged Cotton Ultimate 28 Legging-Under Armour is the place to go for fitness gear. These leggings look fabulous and soft, making working out comfortable. I adore the wide waistband and that they offer the moisture transport system keeping sweat at bay.
zumba fitness world party wii workout game
Zumba Fitness World Party for Wii- I love heading to the Y to get my Zumba on, but have been wanting the game for quite some time now. If you have never gone to a Zumba class I HIGHLY recommend it. Once I get the game I’ll be able to shake in the comfort of my own home. The game features 40+ routines and songs in a variety of dance styles. Did you know you could burn up to 1,000 calories in an hour with Zumba?
Active by Old Navy Printed Capri
Active by Old Navy Printed Capri-I love Active by Old Navy. Their fitness clothing is affordable, comfortable and fashionable. I’m really digging the printed compression capris! I hope to see more patterns in the future (like a pink color!)
Newton Running Energy Special Edition
Newton Running Energy Special Edition-Everyone needs new shoes for working out and I want the shoe of the year. This shoe has been recommended by trainers all over the place. The Energy is lightweight and facilitates a seamless transition from more conventional running shoe. They feature a carbon rubber heel with high density rubber, breathable material plus they come in vivid colors!
samsung galaxy gear
Samsung Galaxy Gear: A smart watch to keep me updated while on a run? YES Please! This hot new gadget allows users to make hands-free calls, use apps, receive texts and more. This is compatible with Galaxy smartphones, yippee because I have one of those.
weighted hula hoop
Weighted Hula Hoop-Working out at home I need variety. As a child, I would hula hoop for hours, no joke. This year I plan to start again. After all these years, my daughter received a hula hoop last summer and I still got skills. My waist is my trouble spot after 2 children, gaining over 60lbs with both, so I’m ready to trim what is left this year by hula hooping more!
camelbak delaney water bottle
CamelBak Water Bottle: I already have a CamelBak Eddy water bottle but want another, the Delaney. This has a handy holder to bring your water out on a run. Sadly, I do not carry water with me because I do not want to carry a water bottle while running, now I can. The water bottle is a 21 oz Podium chill bottle with self-sealing jet valve and is BPA Free.
pink beats by dr. dre mixr headphones
Headphones:Running without music is awful.  My ears are so tiny,  earbuds will not stay in them:( I’ve thought about something comparable to Beats by Dr. Dre but I just feel they’ll be too bulky and the price, ugh. Do you have any suggestions for a great pair of earbuds that will stay in my ears? I’ve tried many including the earbuds that arrived with my Galaxy S3, Panasonic, Apple and another but I can’t remember the brand. How about iLuv or Skullcandy?
Do you have any 2014 must-have fitness gear or gadgets on your wants list?
